adult ALL ABILITES PROGRAM

Bonivital Soccer Club is looking to launch a new Adult (age 18+) All Abilities Soccer Program starting with a Pilot Program over 2 days this June! 

In 2022 we launched the All Abilities Soccer Program (Youth) for children and youth (ages 9-17) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.  The program gave these athletes an opportunity to learn and play soccer.  This program continues to grow and we are currently entering our second season with many additions including starting a partnership with Special Olympics. 

As we continue to expand our All Abilities offering we are now looking to add an Adult version of the program. The program will be fully inclusive, designed and adapted for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Every person deserves a chance to build lasting friendships, make memories and feel like they belong.  The All Abilities program and coaches strives for an inclusive environment where all athletes are recognized, no athlete is noticed for their disability, rather, their enormous abilities and their opportunity to shine.

The emphasis of this program is on development and meaningful participation rather than on competition. 

*The Pilot program will be held at the Bonivital Soccer Club field 100 Sunset Blvd (beside the YMCA on Fermor) *

Our eventual goal (with a successful pilot) is to:

1.) REGULAR YEAR-ROUND TRAINING - mirror our Youth offering and offer regular year-round training and future partnerships/opportunities with Special Olympics. Including pathways for

The Special Olympics/World Games – for athletes with an Intellectual and/or developmental Disability at the highest level of competition athletes can qualify to be part of Team Manitoba

and Team Canada.

2.) PART OF THE CLUB PRIDE AND OUTFITTED IN CLUB GEAR - in addition to regular training All Abilities athletes will become part of the Bonivital Soccer Club, that means the All Athletes will be outfitted with Bonivital gear, participate in Bonivital Club days…in short they and will become part of the Bonivital family. When someone looks at the Bonivital website and offerings they will see we offer programming for boys, girls and all youth and all abilities. 

As mentioned we will be starting with a pilot project with two 60 minute programs. These programs will be held at our club facilities at 100 Sunset Boulevard on turf pitch and will be led by Bonivital staff coaches, volunteer coaches and current players in the Bonivital system.
