Ryan is Bonivital alumni, representing numerous premier teams as captain both locally and abroad in competitions such as the MSA Cup, USA Cup, the Razz, and the Robbie tournaments, and was a member of a Bonivital Selects side to compete at the prestigious Shattuck-St.Mary’s School in the United States. He also represented Manitoba on multiple occasions, trained in the Focus9 High Performance program, and was selected as one of two Manitobans to attend a Talent Identification Camp with Charlton Athletic, then of the Premier League.
Outside of playing, Ryan is currently a coach with the club and has been studying under former Canadian national team analysts as a video and performance analyst. He also holds multiple accreditations from the Professional Football Scouts Association, including certificates in Opposition Analysis, Talent Identification, Performance Analysis, and Technical Scouting, a certificate in Talent Identification from the FA, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science from the University of Winnipeg. Recently, he has worked as a writer and an analyst covering soccer for Waking the Red and the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
